Today, in the United States, there are 644 chapels where Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament is exposed twenty-four hours for the adoration of the faithful. There are another 6,605 chapels that have partial adoration hours. St. Magdalen de Pazzi Church is one of these. This is a great blessing for our parish and for each of us individually.

The vast majority of the world’s 197 countries don’t have a day to honor our parents’ parents. The United Nations, which has 190 international days, does not have one for grandparents. That’s why it’s highly significant — not just within the Catholic Church, but within the global community — that Pope Francis has established the World Day of Grandparents and the Elderly to be celebrated every year on the fourth Sunday of July. With Catholics present in almost every country, the commemoration should be a leaven, making fitting appreciation for grandparents rise across the globe. God not only speaks to us in beautiful thoughts and poetic prayers but also in our discomfort and…even inour distractions. Let Him speak to you by asking yourself these questions. By asking Him to reveal Histruth to you.
Assuming that what is being said is not itself sinful, it is morally neutral to talk. However, Catholic moral teaching tells us that "circumstances" change the moral character of actions. Talking in Church when not demanded by necessity is at least venially sinful for the following reasons:
