Can I Pray to Our Blessed Mother While I am Before the Blessed Sacrament in Eucharistic Adoration?

In his book, 21 Ways to Worship: A Guide to Eucharistic Adoration, Vinny Flynn reminds us that devotion to Our Blessed Mother is very appropriate during Eucharistic Adoration because She leads us to Jesus always!

From his encyclical, The Church of the Eucharist, #57, Saint Pope John Paul II writes, "If the Church and the Eucharist are inseparably united, the same can be said of Mary and the Eucharist." Our Lady is always at the side of Jesus in the Eucharist.

Our Lady's Annunciation was Her "first Holy Communion". Through Our Blessed Mother's fiat, She becomes the first living tabernacle because the Second Person of the Trinity took on a human nature from Her flesh. Her first act was to take Jesus to Her cousin Elizabeth. This was the first "Eucharistic procession with Mary being a "living monstrance"! Mary was transparent to God and so united with Him that His divine presence radiated out of every part of Her. Our Lady's voice had such a transforming effect on Elizabeth, that John the Baptist responded in her womb to the Real Presence!

Who better to help us adore Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament than Our Blessed Mother? She will help us become transformed by Jesus so we, too, will radiate His Presence. So, YES, by all means, talk with Our Lady when you are before the Blessed Sacrament. Pray the Rosary and reflect on the life of Christ. Singher a hymn in your heart. She is united in adoration with us of Her Beloved Son, Jesus Christ.
